Sarah and Nancy,

We just learned of your Dad's passing from Sally Vogelreuter and extend our deepest and most sincere condolences. Both of your parents were outstanding individuals and we shall cherish the many good times we spent with them at Gun Lake over many years. When reading your Dad's obituary, we learned that he and Chuck were born on the same day two years apart, which makes his passing even more profound for us.

Devotedly, Chuck and Jackie Hendershott

Dear Nancy and Sarah,
Peter Robertson passed along the news of your dad's death. And since I didn't have either of your addresses I finally thought about using the computer to go to the Kalamazoo newspaper. I'm so sorry to hear of the death of both your parents. We always had such a good time with them and Gun Lake was a special place because of them. Your dad was a lovely man and Barbara a special cousin. Love to you both, Judy Henderson Astone

Dear Sarah and Nancy, We are very sad to hear of your dad's passing. We all have such great memories of playing baseball on summer nights, the sweet aroma of your mom's baking in your kitchen and the time your dad taught us track & field in your backyard. Your parents were exceptionally gifted and kind and will be missed by all of us. Love Always, Mary, Suzanne, Steve and Paul Goulet

Dear Nancy and Sarah,

How sorry I was to hear of your dad's passing, and to learn that your mother passed away in 2009. They were two of the most remarkable people I've ever known. They were quick with their wit and smiles and always exuded such warm spirits. Your dad was one of my childhood heroes and I count him as one of the finest examples of what it means to be a gentleman and a great father. I will always have only the fondest memories of both of them. I recall their...

Nancy and Sarah: I am so sorry to hear of Uncle Tom's death. I too have very fond memories of our families together when we were kids (especially the ski trips that we all took together and that rustic cabin our families rented in Cadillac). I will remember your dad as a very kind man. Justine Gudritz

Nancy and Sarah-
I got the news from Wendy and Diane, and I wanted to pass on my condolences. I was very fond of your dad. He had a special intellect, a warm heart, and a great spirit. I always looked up to him.

Dear Sarah and Nancy.I was very young and knew your dad and mom from Gun Lake where we visited my aunt uncle and cousin. Tom asked me if I wanted to go for a boat ride, and I said yes.Remember I was just a kid, and he had a speed boat. We were out in the lake and the motor stopped, and he said-oh oh-we're out of gas. I just sat there, and in a minute he started the motor again. He was trying to scare me, crazy guy. I was shocked to see his name in the GRPress. Haven't thought about that dear...
