Not sure what to say?

I just learned of Tom's passing. We worked together years ago at the Safeco house counsel office in Foster City. We were not buddies by any stretch but Tom was always fun to be around and ready with a wise crack or two to keep things loose. Pax vobiscum Tom.

Laura,
I saw Patti yesterday and she told me about your husband passing away. I was so saddened by the news. I had no idea that he had cancer for so long. He sounded like a wonderful man and you had a wonderful life together. I can't imagine what you are going through, but please know that I am thinking of you and hoping you find strength to deal with his loss, and focus on all the wonderful memories you had with him. Again, I am so sorry.
Love,
Nancy (Markarian) Rocha

Laura, I am so sorry for your loss. But Tom is with the Lord and without any pain or discomfort. I had the honor and privilege of working with Tom at Truck 13 when he first came into the Fire Department. This privilege continued as we were teammates for the SFFD Red Team. Winning all those gold metals. He was our outstanding left fielder and one heck of a hitter. May GOD Bless you and your family. Tommy will always be in our thoughts and prayers. Bill and Frankie Moe

Laura - my deepest condolences to you and your family

TOM was one of the great great ones. San Francisco fireman , attorney, husband , father, athlete and OH what a ball player! Bats left and throws. Right! SHEP !

Laura and Family,
I met Tom on January 17,1971, our first day in the Fire Academy. Although our careers took us to opposite sides of the city, I had the opportunity to work with Tom on several occasions. He was respected by all. The highest compliment one fireman can bestow on another firman is to describe him as a "good fireman" and Tom was that.
My condolences to all the family but we were all lucky to have Tom in our lives. And ,Yes, Tom you will live in mine forever.

Laura, Ryan, Emily and Dunn family: I am so very saddened to read about Tom's passing and express my love sent condolences to you. It's been years since I'd lost touch with Tom but our years together practicing law, playing softball and sharing SF history stories about the Lakeside 'hood, are very fond memories. Unfortunately, I cannot attend Tom's service because (as he might allow) I am in trial in the beautiful Redwood City courthouse. So, please accept my sincerest blessings and love to...
