Not sure what to say?

I first met Tom when he was a trooper at the Brighton Post. I was a MSP dog handler and Tom was backup for me in tracking down a felon who was believed to be armed. We would would later become partners working the midnight shift. Tom was a fine man and a good partner. After retiring I became an author and Tom's good service is remembered on page 191 of the book PATHS CROSSED; VILLAINS-VICTIMS-VICTORS. God speed.

I would like to express my gratitude to Thomas, who in 1992 crossed paths with me and saw a person drowning in grief and threw a lifeline to my soul. He took the time to write a three page note of encouragment to someone he barely new. It made all the difference and helped in my recovery. He was a "mighty warrior" of strength in fighting his illness and a shining light of love and compassion to everyone who knew him. This world was a better place because he was here.

I went to school with Tom. I happened upon his obituary today and was very saddened. My thoughts and prayers are with all of Tom's family and friends during this time. We are all a little better for having known him.

We knew him through our son Matt when they were at MSU.We thought a great deal of him and that whole group of young men. We know he will truly be missed. Our prayers are for his family as he has found his heavenly rest.

Tom was a member our Knight of Columbus council and was very active in our annual drive for the mentally challenged, and we thank Tom for this. There was an article in a local paper last week that thanked the Knights of Columbus for there donation which purchased a "hands on monitor" for there children at NC RESA. Tom not only worked in the cold weather he also collected at all masses at St. Bart's. May God keep you at rest. Ralph Fix

We are saddened by the loss of a wonderful man and friend but joyous knowing that he had the opportunity to positively impact so many lives. Our lives have been blessed and enriched by knowing Tom. A part of him will always be within us.

I went to school with Tom from 3rd grade thru 12. What I loved most about him was his smile and his love of life. He was always smiling and he treated everyone the same. He was a wonderful guy and will be very missed.

I grew up with Tom and Max. I now live in Gaylord and my kids had the opportunity to meet Tom thru the Dare program at Gaylord Community Schools! Thank you Tom for your contribution to my children.
