Thomas George Dupuie, 83, of Pigeon (formerly of Frankenmuth), passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024 with his family at his side at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe. He was born on February 11, 1940 in River Rouge to the late George and Marie (Bodrie) Dupuie.
Tom retired from GM in Saginaw where he worked as a skilled trade pipefitter with 54 years of credited service. He was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Frankenmuth.
Tom is survived by his wife Juanita (Hansen) of 64 years, his four sons Mark (Shelly) Higgins Lake, Brian (Robin) Grand Rapids , Kirk (Angela) Frankenmuth and Brad (Bridget) Bay City; nine grandchildren: Dustin, Thomas, Katie, Molly, Jamie. Morgan, Ethan, Flynn, and Emma; seven great grandchildren Gage, Harper, Nora, Jack, Sullivan and Brooks and Barrett; sisters: Janis King, Linda (Ed) Jakabowski, Laura (David) Bodrie, and Cindy (Ken) Reynolds; brothers: John (Lois) Dupuie, and Don (Linda) Dupuie and many nieces and nephews.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Larry Dupuie, Ken Dupuie and sister Joyce Laforest-Yates.
Tom was an avid hunter and fisherman and was an everyday handyman that was always helping family, friends and neighbors. He loved doing projects like mounting deer horns, making deer horn lamps, and fishing pole lamps. With his skills and keen eye for creativity, he could accomplish any project set in front of him.
Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 958 E. Tuscola Rd., Frankenmuth, Michigan. Tom’s family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. There will be a Vigil Service on Monday at 7:15 p.m. at the funeral home with a Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to M.D.A for D.M.D Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy or Think Adoption Not Abortion.
