Not sure what to say?

Remembering Tom. Tom was a light of respite during his years with John Knowles at the helm of MGH. This wonderful light lessened the challenging environment of MGH School of Nursing. He was insightful and full of wit and one who gratefully created comic relief. Tom was a gift and I shall not forget him.

To all of you....I received a copy of the euology for Dr. Durant in the inter-office mail..thanks to Angela.

It is as a beautiful a tribute today as it was several weeks ago...

The "rascal & saint" taught us all so many lessons about life..and God I thought I had it all figured out. The article that appeared in the MGH HOtline compliments of Peggy Slasman and Tom's photograph is now tacked to my wall...and when I am having an unusually challenging day...I look at the...

Dear, dear Fredericka and family,

I was blessed by having Tom's obituary notices sent to me by Len Smith. Had I only known about it earlier, nothing could have kept me from being there to celebrate Tom's life with all of you.

How blessed you all are to be able to rejoice in the life of sevice that Tom led and to know that each of you enabled him to carry out that mission and supported him in what he needed and wanted to do.

I am so happy that we got a chance...

It was an honor to be able to say!Tom is a friend of mine! Peter and Donna Penndorf

I must say i feel true honored to having met and be related to such a great man! He has touched so many lives and helped so man people and never asked for anything in return. If I can ever do anything in this life of mine i like to be...

To the Durant family, I knew Dr. Durant through my father Charlie McCabe, MD, they had been friends since I can remember. When I was applying to Graduate school Dr. Durant was able to take time out of his busy day and have lunch with me to talk about life and where I wanted to go to Graduate school and why. He was so kind to me and through his advice I am now at Emerson Graduate school. I just wanted to tell you how sorry I am and how amazing Dr. Durant was. His impact on my father and...

Fredericka: We go way back, you & I,to our Whitten St. Days. I saw Tom at a Boston Globe retirement party some years ago & he shouted across the room "Manya!" & I shouted "Ike-y" in return. Steve is his "spittin' image" in both looks and personality. The Mass at St. Mark's was an unforgettable experience. You were blessed to be part of the life of a wonderful human being.

Shawn:
On behalf of Margherita Ciampa-Coyne and her family I want you to know that your father left an indelible mark on the her heart and the great neighborhood of Dorchester Massachusetts. I have heard and read
of the wonderful person your Father was and feel I really missed something by never having met him.
Also, I hope you don't mind but we requested that our 10 year old son Kyle read the various articles in the newspapers recently and asked that he aspire to follow in...

Dear Durant Family, I had the opportunity to work with Dr. Durant many years ago at the MGH-Chelsea Health Center. He was a caring, delightful and energetic man. He always seemed to make each patients visit a learning experience. He persuaded a few of the Health Center staff to come to the Rugby games and in doing so, I met someone on the Portland Rugby team. To this day, I am still in contact with him, and I owe it all to "Doc" Durant. I am sorry for your loss, but know that he touched...
