Not sure what to say?

As I sit here on this bench dedicated to you, I marvel at your accomplishments. You were a unique individual that the world could benefit from more people like you.

To Maria, Yvonne, Vivian and Christine,

We are very sorry to hear that Tom has passed. Cherish the fond memories of him.

With sincerest condolences,

The Wallace family (Bruce, Roberta and Bruce Jr.)

Tom was an inspiration to many and all ages. He used to share his expertise with my biology classes at Ithaca High, where he sparked enthusiasm for their scientific pursuits. He is very missed.

Tom will be sorely missed. He was a oner! We were so privileged to know and learn from him. John and Sue Gregoire, Burdett, NY.

Vivian, I am so sorry to hear about your dad's passing. You and your family are in my prayers and thoughts.

Maria. I feel so privaleged to have been able to meet you both. Your love for each other was so beautifully evident. You're caring and loving ever present.I am sad for your loss, but ever mindful and understanding of Tomas and your wishes. Let us all ride a bicycle backwards, smile to the ends of our faces, enjoy music to the fullest of pleasure, in Dr. Eisner's memory.
Nancy Krieger Kirchner, RN

I have very fond memories of Tom, from when I was a teenager and both our families were in Australia, to just a couple of years ago when he visited my family on Cayuga lake and was as excited as a child with the bugs he found there. It was always a pleasure and an adventure being with him.

Tom did indeed leave the world a better place - by his presence in it, his wisdom, his passion to understand, his love of life and living things. We will miss him so much.

16 years ago I attended a Biodiversity
Conference at the American Museum of
Natural History.
I was struck by the number of young biologists wearing T-shirts with "I want to be Tom Eisner when I grow up!"
They hoped he would attend the meeting, but he did not.
