Thomas Anatoli “Toli” Epsom, 27, died on July 3rd after injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born in Bryansk, Russia on September 4th, 1993, he was the son of Paul Epsom and Dr. Kristine Kelley and became a U.S. citizen on March 17, 1999.  Tom attended Waverly Elementary School from 2000 to 2004, Abington Heights Middle School from 2004 to 2005, Howard Gardner School from 2005 to 2008, then graduated from Abington Heights High School in 2012.  He attended Kutztown University from 2012 to 2013, then received U.S. Army Combat photography training from 2013 to 2014, then worked until 2017, when he attended Penn State University until 2020.

Thomas worked manufacturing, gas drilling, and retail sales.  He had a growing interest in Retail and Wholesale Logistics and was being trained for a corporate position in Nebraska.  In addition, he helped his Dad whenever he could at his garden center.

Tom loved to ski and snowboard and skied some of the finest mountains around the world.  He raced his snowboard and taught snowboarding for a couple years at Elk Mountain.  He enjoyed recreational soccer and often played soccer with his Dad.

In high school, he was on the varsity soccer, tennis, football, and swim teams.

Tom was a bright candle who burned brightly but far too quickly.  His sunny light will be missed by all.

In addition to his parents, Tom is survived by Alivia DeLeon, who he was engaged to since December 6, 2020; a brother, William Epsom of Pittsburgh, and his maternal grandmother, Nancy LaCrosse of Florida.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Harold Kelley and his paternal grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. J.E. Epsom.

Friends may call on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Howard Gardner School, 1615 East Elm Street, Scranton, PA 18505.

What we remember is your compassionate attention and gentle kindness. Earl and I were so saddened to hear of your great loss. We send you both our condolences and appreciation for...
