Thomas R. Ethridge was my uncle (the brother of my father, W. N. Ethridge, Jr.). He was a gentle, loving, and brave man of great character, loyalty, and self-effacing dignity and intelligence. Over his 92 years, he definitely made a difference in the world. I loved him much.
