Not sure what to say?

I had the honor of living on the same street as Thomas and playing with Thomas in the Bellview Junior High band in the mid-sixties.
With all due respect to all the other band members,
Thomas stood head and shoulders above everyone else as a musician and as a person.
And was highly respected by all.
No coincidence he was chosen as the student band director and won superior honors at state contest as a trumpet player.

Tom was my 1st real boyfriend in 1970-1971. Any young girl would be blessed to have such a fine young man in her life
He was respectful of me. irreverent and funny intelligent and contemplative and funny and kind. Oh- and very handsome. . I grieve that he died so young. He was a marvelous guy. I am so very sorry for his loved ones. The kind remembrances of his students are so gratifying. He was a musician through and through. God bless.

I knew Tom as a fellow student at UWF. He was well liked by everyone he came in contact with. I am sorry to hear of his passing.

I am so very sorry for your loss. May the God of comfort be with you in your time of need.

So sorry for your loss. May your happy memories warm your heart forever more. Our prayers are with you Catherine. Family of and your student Thomas Jackson, II

What a profound loss we are all feeling. Tom Ewing impacted so many of our lives in a positive way and his legacy lives on in all of us. All who knew him are better people because of his influence in our lives. I remember Tom as a kind man who cared about others and who cared for others. He was a gifted teacher and musician, a gourmet cook, an amazing gardener, a family man, and a mentor and friend to many of us. Thank you Tom for the example that you set by the way you lived your...

I had the privilege of having Mr Ewing in the mid 90's at Bellview and have fond memories of being under his command. He was patient and devoted to his students. His guidance and kindness went beyond the band room. He will be greatly missed. His family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I had the honor of being one of his students in the late 70"s. He had a Great passion for music and in life. I have found memories of him. He will be missed. His family is in my prayers.

My Condolences to Mr. Ewing's loved ones.
Mr. Ewing was definitely a favorite teacher of mine. He was always about business in music. Being prepared and ready to present my practiced music lesson is what I most enjoyed in his classes. I saw that there was some importance in being that way. i was a better student because of it. I was blessed to have a teacher like him that cared and took an interest in my playing. He always went above and beyond to help achieve the most valuable thing to...
