Read MoreWe will all miss Uncle Tom. His gentle demeanor, his independence and his love of life are all qualities we can aspire to. Picnics at his house with Aunt Gertrude were a highlight of growing up as were their special holiday meals. He will be greatly missed.

Uncle Tom will be missed by all of us. I would like to remember him by his words the last time we spoke on the phone as being able to still play golf, have his macaroni and glas of wine on Sunday and enjoy a game on TV.
