I just want to say thank you! I have never seen my friend Cathy happier than when you two were together. I thought her cell phone became a permanent fixture attached to her head, she talked and laughed with you so much! It has been a very trying time for Cathy losing such a wonderful person. Tom I can say this, we still laugh and smile while remembering you! You left this world too soon but made such an impact in the lives you touched!

I met Tom when he came to San Antonio to visit my girlfriend Cathy Moore. Even though I only spent a short time with him, it felt like we had been friends for years. He was funny. extremely personable, pretty much the life of the party...which I usually am, but I did not mind sharing the spot light with such a great guy. It was a privilege to know him. I will never forget the tall man wearing a green St. Patty's Day Tiara at Midnight Rodeo, having a blast with three crazy women at his side....

Dear Tom,
It was my privilege to get to know you through my relationship with your sister Scharlene. I will always remember when you came to our house like a whirlwind and regale us with your many stories. I will also always remember how your sister's face would light up whenever you came around or when she spoke of you. This coming Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009 we will be attending a memorial unveiling of the Wall of Memories at the Brampton Memorial Gardens. Your name has been forever...

Thoughts on Love~
I remember back in 1992(?) after Tom had returned from a school reunion in Ontario ...He said that his friend, Susan had told him that he was "loved" at that school. Not 'liked' not 'admired' but truly "LOVED". I think he was amazed at the depth of feeling people had for him-
I also remember years later, when Tom remarked that the "opposite of 'love' isn't 'hate'; it's 'indifference'. How wise and intuitive. And how true!!
Tom and I were...

Dear Tom,
Thanks for all of the good times we shared traveling around the US and especially down in Barbados. I always had a blast with you and Cindy down there. I love to share the story about Kokomo Joe the bird man. It makes me laugh everytime.
Take Care my Friend,

Mr. Farrington, this time of year keeps reminding me of the many evenings spent in your's & Cindy's cozy kitchen sharing some cocktails, while watching you chop vegetables for some creation you'd come up with. 10 people in a kitchen that comfortably holds 5. Wonderful!
Hours would go by before someone would ask...when's dinner? Oh, I haven't put it in the oven yet! By then no one cared! The smell of onions & garlic cooking still make me smile. Good Times. Joe & I miss you buddy, we all do....

Tom, Last Sunday afternoon my wife and I were out for a walk and were remarking on the heavy dew on the branches of the plants we were passing. This led me to remark that back in Nova Scotia at this time of year we would have freezing rain on the branches and then a further recollection of the times at Acadia when students used to make those huge slides down from Convocation Hall in the winter. Then I remembered the night of the 1st snowfall back in 1972. A supposed tradition was a snowball...
