Not sure what to say?

Dear Favia Family,

I send my sincere condolences to the Tom's family. Tom was an extraordinary man who touched the lives of so many children and adults. My personal story is about my brother. Things were tough at home. My younger brothers unlike the three sister who were honor roll students were having a tough time. A single mom working two jobs. My brother was transferred from P.S. #17 to P.S.339 ProVoc.
Tom took my brother under his wing. He quit H.S., went to the Vietnam...

To the Favia family,

I was very saddened to learn of Tom's passing. Having known him for many years, I can say without reservation that he was a great educator. His support for the teachers and the children of the Jersey City Public
School District was second to none. Please accept my sincere condolences, and may God rest his soul.

I met Tom as a Freshman student at Ferris in 1972. I began helping him as a Student/Manager in my senior year in 75-76. I continued for 7 years after I graduated in 76. Why? Because of Tom. He was the BEST! A dear friend, Teacher, Coach and Mentor. We lost one of the best. But, I will never forget all you did for me and, I am sure, many others will never forget what you also did for them. REST IN PEACE.....
