Dear Mrs. Feely and Family,

I never had the opportunity to meet Mr. Feely, but I know T.J. and his children. Please accept my condolences on your loss. I also want to express my gratitude to Mr. Feely, for the kindness and time he gave to my father. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.

My deepest sympathies to Coach Feely's family.
I was one of countless youth that Coach Feely gave energy, humor, skill instruction, inspiration, and a chance.

Dear Mrs. Feely & family, I have known T.J. and your family for more than 40 years, literally from my childhood to adulthood. In that time Mr. Feely was always Mr. Feely to me, T.J.'s dad, someone, like Mr.Lund,Smith and Kieger, to be both respected and feared.I say feared because as youths we would just as soon Mr. Feely not find out about some of our the shenanigans we as boys got into. Having lost my own father,Mr.Feely helped fill a missing part in my life, he was an adult even in a time...

For dear TJ, friend of my childhood, for his mother, his brothers, and all the Feely families, my heartfelt condolences in your loss.

I too would like to express my deepest sympathies to Tom’s family on behalf of my deceased father, Gene Farrell and his surviving widow, Clare. Dad and Tom became close only during the twilight of their years, meeting each week day after daily mass with the rest of the husband and wife tandems from the Nativity morning breakfast club.

Having competed against each other in baseball decade’s earlier (dad at St. Mary’s…Tom at St. Thomas) and crossing each others paths over the years...

Toni and Family,
In memory of my mom and dad, John and Marie Pates, I offer my deepest sympathy in Tom's passing. You were both such dear and special friends along with the Armstrongs and the whole St. Thomas fun group. I remember being at many of the St. Thomas college basketball games with my dad and learned quickly to pray the Hail Mary for Coach Feely and the team to win. And waiting outside the men's locker room door for my dad which seemed to take forever while he re-hashed the game...

Tom was my first "boss," supervising son Dick, Denny McCarthy (whose "C of STT" teacher dad Jim also passed away recently), and me teaching/playing sports with elementary students at the college's summer activities camp, a forerunner of the many camps happening today.

Tom attended St. Thomas College with my dad, and they also taught and coached together at St. Thomas Military Academy.

While attending St. Thomas from 1965-70, what a great run of basketball teams I followed,...

I was saddened to learn of Tom's passing this morning via Internet as I read the Mpls. Star-Trib obits. My sympahies go out to Tom's family. I met Tom through the CORES sports luncheon group. I believe Tom was the the last remaining survivor of the group of fellows who started that group. I worked with Tom and Lloyd Holm in resurrecting the group after the original founder passed away several years ago. Tom was a feisty little guy but a neat person. he will be missed.
