Not sure what to say?

To the Flaherty Family, I was blessed enough to visit with Tom about 5 days a week in my deli. He took lunch break late so we always were able to share stories. Most important topic was always little Tommy. His face always lit up just thinking about him. One day a man came in & bought Tom lunch. He was not a regular customer so I didn't know too much about it. It turned out that this man was trying to change a tire & was really struggling. Tom stopped & took care of fixing it (while he was...

May you rest in peace . You were a such a nice guy in high school , so I know God will take care of you now. Sweet dreams Tommy .

Tommy was one of my all-time favorite guys to hang out with at the shore. Great volleyball player too. I will miss him. My condolences to the Flaherty family.

My sincere sympathies to the Flaherty family.
I was in deep shock to hear Tom's passing. I'm really at a loss. Tom was always in an up-beat mood. He loved his son, Tommy, dearly and they would come to Beach Express in Brick Twp to eat breakfast and enjoy the beach on the weekends. He was very proud of his son.I will miss his smile and deep laugh.

Tom was a great person, friend, father and so much more... i will likely never meet a more gifted person at bringing happiness and joy to everyone who had the blessing of knowing him. Steve

Tom was a charter member of the Madison Dodger Weight Team where he went undefeated senior year in the javelin throw and made a significant contribution to our undefeated weight men season. Tom and I became friends in 8th grade thanks to our common interests in track and field, architecture and design, and a common Lithuanian heritage. He was a thoughtful and calming person, always offering a positive perspective and a total commitment to personal excellence. My thoughts and prayers are...

To the Flaherty Family, I worked with Tom at McGraw-Hill and he always had a smile on his face and was one of the nicest guys I have known. He was such a proud dad and talking about his son often. I'm going to miss hearing him laugh. I'm so sorry about your loss and my Thoughts and Prayers are with his Son and Family. May he Rest in Peace. Maureen Parah

To the Flaherty Family,
God bless Tommy, and may God also bless your family, during this most difficult time. Knowing, early on, how devastating it can be,to lose any member of one's family, I can only say that I have cherished and treasured memories, stolen in time; perhaps more than some, and perhaps less than others. Some memories bring pain, but more often than not, those memories bring me so much joy! Most of these moments have, and will always, carry me through to better and even...

48 years was not enough time but the quality of one's life is much more important than the quantity. In his too few years Tommy earned his degree in a difficult field, worked in a factory, ran his own business, and enjoyed working in an office for the past 15 years. He even had a short stay in the military. He had an always exciting social life. He lived the latter part of his life at the shore and was able to pay off his mortgage just a month ago. He helped to create and raise a...
