Thomas Frederick Prenger

So many memories of my young adult life include Tom and Sallye in the small mountain valley in north Idaho . I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. I remember him and smile. Boy that man could talk, even more than my (ex) husband Ed.

Tom was my commander, personal family doctor and friend who once described me as a perpetual teenager lol. During out temporary duty assignment to Italy. He said, "John, you really look the part ( of a native italian) just keep your mouth shut" could run for miles and miles on end while sharing interesting and amazing true stories, making the time I spent running with him go by so fast that before I knew it the 6 mile run was over for me and Tom just kept on running. He was the best physician I ever had. I have never been so broken hearted as when he retired. He treated 3 generations of my family when we lived in Kellogg. I was pleasantly surprised when I moved to Spokane that he had as well. Farewell Tom

While I did not know Tom personally, I saw that he flew with the 7th Airborne Command and Control Squadron and that he was a flight surgeon. While in the Air Force, I specialized in flight medicine, and coincidentally flew with the 7ACCS when they were based out of Keesler AFB in Biloxi, Mississippi.
