Dear Garpestad Family,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
We had the pleasure of meeting Tom when he visited our ICU with Erik. His warmth and friendliness was evident immediately and we could feel that special brotherly bond he had with Erik.It was our pleasure to have met such a fine man. He will be remembered always living in your hearts forever.

Sincerely,

Dear Garpestad Family,

My deepest condolences for your loss of a such a great person. Tom was a good man, a great father and a great hockey player who battled to the end. He will be truly missed in life and around the rinks. I had the honor of being Tom's defense partner for many years as part of the Newark Sabre's hockey family and have many fond memories. Tom will be missed but not forgotten and will always be in my prayers.

Sincerely,
