He was a valued crew member 1965-68 and will be missed not only by
his family but by all his shipmates.

Though it saddens all of us for what the Gehring family is feeling these days, I understand it very well, as it was for me 364 days ago. Our faith will keep us strong in these difficult times. My heart and prayers will continue for all.
Throughout my childhood I was Georgia's best friend and continue to be today. My hope is that you and your family will never forget that He will never leave us or forsake us. I know that you know this to be true. I am always an email of phone...

Tommy and family,
I am so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I remember him from the times I was at your family home during high school. He and your Mom were always gracious and fun hosts. My sympathy and prayers for peace for you, your Mom and family.
Love,
Cathleen Schwartz

A man whose passing is grieved so much by his namesaked grandson must have been very special. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Gehring family. --Bob & Terry Prince

Georgia and family,

I feel like I knew your dad for a long time. He was a very special man. He was a lot of fun, and I had the best time joking with him. He was always full of jokes and a pleasure to be around. He will be missed. Just know now he is with our Lord, and he is no longer in pain. He is whole again. I pray for you and your family to find some comfort, knowing that many people, loved him and are praying for your loss. I loved Poppy very much.

...

May you find comfort in remembering the loving memories of a husband, Father, Grandfather, and brother. You will remain, as always, in our hearts and prayers.
