Dear Gibbons Family,
I only just learned of Tom's passing. I am so sorry for the pain you are all going through. But I am glad that the struggle is over: his suffering and your anguish over this past year- suffering with him.
Over the past few years, when both of my parents died, Tom was there at the wake to express his sympathies. I knew then that he wasn't just someone I worked with occasionally, but he was my friend.

I had dealt with all of you at one time or another, I was so sorry to hear about your loss of Tommy, he was a great great man with a heart of gold.
