Goodwin, Thomas E. There is, indeed, a time for all things under heaven. And for all the great rites of passage: Weddings and funerals, graduations and retirements. A time for anniversaries and reunions. For sunrise and sunset, for rain and snow, for moon and stars. A time for his first breath on...

Not sure what to say?

Barb, I so very sad to learn of Tom's passing. The obituary is wonderfully written. I remember the wonderful times Spinning together at West Hills. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Barb -- Somehow I had missed the fact that Tom had died. So sorry to learn that. Thinking of the years when we were all much younger in Allegan, I can't help but smile at some of our activities. Please know that you and your family are in our prayers for peace, dealing with these circumstances.

I love you so much. Thank you for coming in to my life. I'm am much loved because I met you two. Peace and love

I just heard today and my heart is so heavy. I have many wonderful memories of times spent with Tom and Barb at the SPCA, just hanging out with dogs. Great way to spend our retiree years. Tom was a delight and I enjoyed our times together. I know the past years have been so very hard for him and the family and I'm glad he is at peace. I don't think I've ever read an obituary that so fully described the individual. Grateful that this wonderful man touched my life, even for a few short years.

I cant help but smile every time I think of Tom because he was such a kind hearted, fun, vibrant and hardworking man. He never shied away from a fitness challenge because he continuously was able to demonstrated how impressively strong and agile he was. It was always a joy to be around Tom (Sparkle-tootie:), he and his bright smile will be missed! My thoughts and prayers are with you Barb, Rob, Jay, Zoey and the rest of his family and friends.

Barb, I went to N.F. to visit last week and Lois told me about Tom. I was in disbelief, but also relieved for both you and Tom. We all have this automatic bond, if you have a loved one who is struggling with this horrendous disease. I am thankful neither one of you have to suffer anymore. Now, it is time for you to heal. My thoughts are with you. Diane

I was so sorry to hear of Tom's death, but felt joyful that he is now with God and in a good place. Reading the obituary was like reading a poem -- so beautiful and so poignant. My love, prayers and condolences go to Barb, the boys and the rest of the family.

What a wonderful tribute to an amazing person. I remember him fondly as my "second dad" in high school and college (when Rob and I socialized and studied together) and for including myself and later my family in Goodwin family gatherings and summer reunions. His incredible sense of humor and razor sharp wit will be missed. Condolences to Barb as well as my friends Rob and Jay and their families. An incredible loss but also an incredible life lived.
