Not sure what to say?

Tom, I miss you, man! You were a great friend and unofficial mentor. As an engineer, I was almost embarrassed to ask you after one of our Russian language classes at UAA "Tom, would it be a totally crazy idea for me to consider medical school?" You gave me solid advice. Tom, I just wanted to let you know, I'm 23 months into medical residency. Thank you for your awesome friendship, your sense of humor, and your great speaking abilities when we teamed up on presentations. Just meant to...

Dear Kate & Colin,
I was stunned to hear about your loss.
Sadness overwhelmed me as the memories of Tom came back from the days when you shared your home with me. I can only underline the content of the description written here on this site: Tom was without a doubt one of the most intelligent and versatile men I have ever met. We never stumbled upon a subject where he wasn’t able to share his vast knowledge, interest, and insights on the matter. His passion for adventure and the...

Dear Kate and Colin,
Please know that my heart goes out in sympathy and caring. As I sat through the memorial and as I read the obituary, I felt I was able to know Tom (your dad). I believe that respect is something that is earned in this life and is a great gift - it certainly seemed Tom (your dad) had that respect. As you gather with your family over the next week or so, and then as mom and son, please know that I am always there to help in any way I can. Friends are so important in...

I had the pleasure of attending a year of Russian Language with Tom several years ago. He was a very interesting gentleman and it was a pleasure to have known him.

Kate, I never knew Tom, except through Anthea Gotto who talked about both of you often. It is always sad to see a life so full of promise cut short. My deepest sympathies,
George Thoma

Always in awe of Tom, who faced life and spirit threatening tragedies over the years, without becoming irritable. He interacted with Patients and Staff with full attention, always gently teaching, but letting you know that he wanted your thoughts. He was as curious about you personally as he was about the disease which needed managed. I always felt better after a Tom Gordon encounter.

Dr. Gordon was a well respected doctor who will be missed. I enjoyed talking with him and working with him. I work in the INC. Ch. Room at ANMC. My prayers goes out to the family in this time of need. Sincerely, Steena Oliver

I will miss Dr. Gordon. He was an amazing man. My thoughts are with you. I found a quote that reminded me of him.
Wherever there is a human being, there is an opportunity for kindness. (Seneca)

My sincerest sympathy to all of Dr. Gordon's loved ones... he will be missed! Such a true gentle man with a very kind heart!
