Not sure what to say?

I only had Mr Gorman for one class (Senior English) at St. Lawrence. I don't think I am understating his importance in my life. I am 72 years old now and I still am grateful for the faith he showed in my intellect, even though I wasn't an outstanding student in many ways. I think of his kindness and encouragement on at least a monthly basis. RIP Mr Gorman.

I had mr. Gorman for Latin in my freahman year at st laurence in 1962. Great teacher and a better human being. My condolences.

I had the pleasure of Mr Gorman's teaching and coaching abilities all four of my years at St Laurence. As a freshman walking into his home room class for Honors English I was a bit terrified at first. It seemed like he was going to rule with an iron fist. But after a few weeks it was clear that he had everyone's best interest in mind. Of course he would still drag a desk out into the hall if someone wasn't paying attention to his rendition of Shakespeare!

As a sophomore I joined the...

Both my son and I were taught by "Mr. Gorman" He was my freshman year Latin teacher in what was likely his second year of teaching. Always, class was interesting and light - a great outlook and sense of humor. At parent teachers conferences for my son, a 1993 grad, I would have bet he remembered me like it was yesterday - and maybe he did. A great guy! A great teacher! Our condolences.

I had the pleasure of playing on the golf team at STL for Coach Gorman. What fun and fond memories. Going to and from golf matches, Coach Gorman drove us in the 15 passenger van.The whole team jv and varsity, what a hoot. His talks before matches
were very short, just told us to play well and have fun. My condolences to the Gorman family, Just know that Coach , Caddy master, Teacher. Mr. Tom Gorman touched 1000's of kids. I will never forget him. RIP Coach.

Tom Gorman..what a class act! He was my favorite teacher at STL and was to many others as well. His children should be very proud of their dad for he was in inspiration to many young men at STL. Had the pleasure of working with him through the STL Alumni Association and was always a drama free soul in a world full of drama...a man who truly made his mark on the world! RIP Tom.

Gorman family: Our deepest sympathies on the loss of your mom and dad. We have many fond memories of our times at the Gorman house during our years at St. Laurence and living in Oak Lawn. Tom and Judy were inspirational as our family grew. They were great parents and teachers to whomever were fortunate to come into their sphere.

Huge influence during my HS years, still thought of 30 plus years later. RIP Mr Gorman

Sending many thoughts and prayers to the family now and always. May Mr. Gorman rest in peace in the loving arms of our lord Jesus Christ, amen.

Respectfully,
