Not sure what to say?

Coach T Gray was simply the best. In cross-country, he drove us...he encouraged us...and more often than not, he endured us with a whimsical smile and shake of the head. Most of all, he believed in us as something more than runners....he believed in as people. He will be missed, but he will run alongside me always. Thank you coach.

Mr Gray took over as cross country coach when no one else wanted the job when I was in high school. By his own admission, he was not a runner himself, but he developed a real passion for it as a coach, even became a student of running. I live on the other side of the country, in California, but would return once a year to visit my mother, who passed away two years ago. On one of my more recent visits, I was out running, and saw him in his front yard and stopped to say hello. To my amazement,...

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Tom was a great person and teacher at CHHS!

Mr. Gray was a respected, memorable CHHS teacher. He was the kind of teacher who wanted you to understand math, but also wanted you to become a better person. He was one of several teachers who encouraged me to study math (and chemistry) at Ship. I didnt know we both returned for the counseling degrees. Mr. Gray lived down the street from us back in the 60s. A really good man, great family man.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Kent, Sean, and Dana. Im sure you will miss your dad a lot. May your fond memories of times spent with him give you comfort. I enjoyed teaching with him at CHHS, and I am very happy to have known him.
Carol Straub, math teacher and friend

Sorry to read of Mr. Gray's passing. He is a big part of my Camp Hill memories as a math teacher where he made Algebra interesting and coach in Jr.High basketball. Anyone that has taught 41 years is going to have impacted a lot of people and Mr. Gray certainly did. I stopped by to see him several times in the last 10 years when I saw him in his yard. He was always glad to see me and talk and never complained about his health issues. Condolences to his family, he was a fine man and I...

So sorry to hear this news. I have many fond memories of Mr. Gray as a teacher, coach, and neighbor.

I am so sorry to read of Tom's passing. My sincere sympathy to his family. He was truly a kind, thoughtful man.
