Not sure what to say?

Just received the MFUMC newsletter where I saw memorials given for Tug. This breaks my heart. I enjoyed getting to know him, and getting reacquaited after coming back from Iraq. Tug was a true gentleman and quite humble. I remember driving with him to one of his treatments in Covington back in 05, what a gift. I was leading a marriage retreat in FL for returning Soldiers and their spouses when I finished reading Tommy Franks biography. In his afterward he talked about his best bosses...

I was just recalling today, of the few
highly respected Infantry Officers whom I would have followed to hell and back, and back again. TUG was one those few, a Leader, whom I had the distinct privilege of serving with in Vietnam as a "Bobcat".

We The Class of 66 have lost a Great Leader and Brother that can never be replaced. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Gen. Greer and his family. God Bless You and may he REST IN PEACE.

take care of my dad up there, pops. thanks for teaching me how to float in the ocean. it opened my world to the freedom of thought, an ability that is yielding my successes in the creative world. you probably didn't realize that you were even giving me something, but you gave me a gift that keeps giving; a gift worth more than any sum of money.
