In response to the question from Bruce Tombleson: yes, Tom was in the Oregon National Guard in the 1960's.

I worked for many many years with Tom and was so very sorry to hear about his passing. He was such a goofy, fun loving boss and I tremendously enjoyed my years working for him. My deepest sympathy goes to his wife, Markieta, whom I never had the pleasure of meeting, to Judy, Lisa and Laurie. Linda Bowman

Just trying to verify if Thomas Greif was the same person I knew from the Oregon National Guard at the Portland air base in the late 1960's ?

Tom was a good man. When I was 12, he processed my adoption papers. I remember him treating me with respect and as an "adult" as he shared what was happening and being sure it's what I wanted. That resonated with me. Tom took care of our family needs over the years. He had a kind heart for my mother and was sensitive to struggles she had and for me as her young conservator. He helped me work through some difficult times then...and later as I tended to my duties. There was no way any little...
