I met Tom in 1984 when I was Corporation Commissioner and he was working tirelessly for legislation to correct a misinterpretation of the Oregon assumed business name law. A bill resolving the issue was enacted. We re-connected some years later when he represented my interests in a property boundary dispute. A fine man. We lost touch over the years but I will always have fond memories of him.
