08/31/2025. In our most sacred place, our heart, you are there, always.

You left our world too soon Tom. My hope is you will find Mark Stover, Ruby, and your cat first. Shine on you crazy diamond wherever you may be in the universe. Best wishes to Zoe, Dale and the rest of Tom’s family.

I remember the introduction to Rover’s with an outdoor dinner which would lead to multiple dinners there over the years. Pickle ball and fresh oysters and the view in Dabob. Die guten alten Zeiten, as I prepare for my move to Berlin.

I will miss you brother while your wondrous soul travels through the expanse of our galaxy. You gave me back my smile, befriended my daughter and treated her as if she was your own. Until we meet again...

I used to go to DeLaurenti’s and get the stinkiest cheese I could find. Never too stinky for Tom, who always had just the right wine pairing and some other culinary delight from his kitchen. Those were sweet afternoons, in Seattle or Dabob. Laughing, eating and drinking, playing a little guitar. I wasn’t ready for those days to become memories. Blessings to Zoe, and all of you who enjoyed the good fortune of Tom’s friendship.

I remember Tom, Zane and I talking about the big things; topics many people avoided. Bon Voyage.

Tom was my friend at Evergreen and after graduation, along with other Greeners, Mark Scott and JC, my roommate in a Lake City house filled with music, laughter and his incisive intellect and wit. Truly one of the nicest and smartest people I ever knew, he converted me to an appreciation of all things musical, especially Junior Cadillac. We had many laughs together painting the outside of his dad’s dental office, a house on Capitol Hill. Tom had a gift for bringing out the best in people...
