Not sure what to say?

Tommy and Faith,
How sad I was to learn of your dad's death. I met your family years ago and enjoyed knowing all of you. Both your dad and mom were special to me; I had great respect for them. Know that I pray for your heart's comfort in many loving memories.

Dear Faith,
I was sorry to learn of the loss of your Dad. He was a kind and loving man with such a gentle soul. I'll always remember the magical treehouse he made for you and the times we shared there.
My sympathy and love, Stephanie Gildersleeve Scott

Tommy and Faith:

I was away from home when Bob Merrifield and Rouse Caffey called with the bad news about your Dad.I'm sorry I was unable to express my feelings of loss and sympathy more promptly.

I am very sure you have received every conceivable description of praise and love for Tom by now. The unique thing about them is that they are all true, and all understate his wonderful qualities. You know that; I know that; and a few thousand others know it as well.

When I...

To the Hansbrough family:

I had the privilege to attend UK during Dr. Hansborough's tenue as he developed the fledgling forestry program. He challenged us to put forth our best efforts and praised those efforts. Since graduation from UK in 1976, I've been at three other university forestry programs and have found that his UK program was by far the most valuable I have seen in preparing students to function and continue to learn in the work place. He was a gracious and farsighted...

Faith and Tommy:
I am so sorry for your loss. Your Dad was a wonderful, kind and fun man. My thoughts and prayers are with ya'll.
Fondly,

Our condolences to the Hansbrough family. We were saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. Tom Hansbrough. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. With Love, The Philip
Gildersleeve family.

To Tommy and Faith,

I am saddened by your loss. I had the privilege of meeting your father years ago and he was a lovely person. I will keep your family in my prayers.

I am so sadden by your lose. My thoughts and prayers are with you. You were a jewel to work for and I miss being in the loving atmosphere you helped to create.

To the Hansbrough Family:
I join others who graduated from the Univ. of Kentucky Forestry program (1976 for me) who were well trained and sent forth on their career under the "Colonel's" direction. He was always responsive to students - knowing us as individuals. My sympathies to you as this great man makes another turn in the journey of life. I am a better man for knowing him.
