Not sure what to say?

I'm sorry I didn't see this, for a year+. Tom was such a likable, upbeat guy. Many laughs during college years. It sounds like he had a very full life, giving of himself to patients and family both. My condolences to Annie and anyone who called him friend.

Thomas R, as we so affectionately called him, was not only my 2nd oldest brother´s best friend, but he was a friend to our whole family during their high school days when friends came and went frequently. There were 6 older brothers and 5 younger sisters in a bustling house but he fit right in. Those were the days when friends came and went, would sit on the couch, eat our mom´s coleslaw and would make a showing during the holidays without fail. At 8 years old I wanted to marry Thomas R. ...

I first met Dr. Hatch in 2015 when I had prostate cancer. Then in 2017 Dr. Hatchinformed me that I had bladder cancer and He had to remove my bladder and prostate. Dr. Hatch saved my life and I for one will never forget that. I have always held Dr. Hatch in the highest regard. I am truly saddened that Dr. Hatch is no longer with us, but He will always be in our hearts and memories. Goodbye Dr. Hatch.

I first met Tom when he was a medical student at OHSU and I was his Urology attending and after that the privilege of having him as a resident urologist and subsequently as a colleague on the faculty. I have never met a man with such a positive attitude toward his profession and life in general. He always had his priorities on the right track and that was his family. Someone once said of physicians that patients don´t care what you know until they know that you care. I don´t know of a better...

Tom and i met each other at Lewis and Clark fall of 1970. I think of him and asked Fred one in awhile what Tom was doing. So sorry to hear of his passing and will always remember him and wish his family the best. Steve

I first met Tom in 1988 interviewing for a urology residency position here at OHSU. I was a nervous forth year medical student on the interview circuit, and when I sat down in his office, he did what he did for the everyone he was with - he made me feel lighter, and instantly put me at ease. He joked about the piles of paperwork on his desk and how if he moved some from this pile to the other pile he felt like he was getting something done. Tom was one of my faculty mentors during residency,...

I am so honored and thankful, Tom, that you, Dean, brother Dave, and I had a final walk around the Lewis and Clark campus shortly before you were taken from us. Your friendship since 1975 was strong and genuine. Negativity and selfishness were things you did not know much less ever exhibit. There is nothing past tense about your presence in bringing about and encouraging us to be our best version. You are cherished and part of us forever. Until we are all together again in the faith we have...

I was privileged to have Tom as my Urology resident at Bess Kaiser in 1981. When my daughter was born in July, 1981 at BK, Tom visited my wife and infant daughter. My wife later said, "who was that handsome, delightful young Doctor who visited us"?! I said, "that description fits my resident, Tom Hatch to a `T´ "! And so it was...bright, handsome and personable Tom Hatch. Ever since a family memory.
