Thomas R. Hellums, 74, of Golden, Mississippi, died Tuesday, September 14, 2004, at his residence. He was a Baptist and a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the National Guard and retired from Reynolds Metals.

Visitation is scheduled for 6:00 until 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 15, at Deaton Funeral Home in Belmont, MS. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 16, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Belmont, MS, officiated by Bro. Ralph Culp and Bro. Bud Ferrell. Interment will follow in Belmont Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Mink Hellums of Golden, MS; 1 son, Bruce Hellums of Pogo, AL; 1 daughter, Joni Hellums of Milstadt, IL; 2 brothers, Charles Hellums of Golden, MS, and Wally Hellums of Red Bay, AL; 2 sisters, Ernestine Armstrong of Red Bay, AL, and Faye Stepp of Red Bay, AL; 5 grandchildren, Shanna Ivey of Milstadt, IL, Nick Ivey of Milstadt, IL, Brittany Evans of Milstadt, IL, Ashley Evans of Milstadt, IL, and Kaleigh Hellums of Red Bay, AL; and 2 great-grandchildren, Levi Wallace of Milstadt, IL, and Jack Ivey of Milstadt, IL.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Laurie Hellums; and his parents, Wallace and Arvy Hellums.
