Thomas "Tick/Slick" Henry was my best friend as a youth in Dallas. Jerry, Freddie, Buster, Lyndale, Christ, Larry, and I did all the things that boys our age did and more. Once we told stories in front of his aging father, and his father said, "I should call the police now." But it was all good. We stayed in touch over the years telling those stories over and over again.
When I go back to the neighborhood, it will not be the same without stopping by his house. I'll miss "Tick" Thomas...
