More recently, he was taking care of his parents and was very devoted in doing so.

Born January 1, 1970 in Crawfordsville, he was the son of Dr. Carl Bruce Howland and Bonnybell Sekema Howland. He graduated from North Montgomery, class of 1988, attended Wabash and University of Southern Florida and was a member of the Kappa Sig fraternity.

Surviving family includes: his parents, Dr. Carl Bruce Howland and Bonnybell Howland; his brother, Jeffery Bruce (Darla) Howland; niece, Elizabeth Howland; nephew, Eric Howland; nephew, Aaron Sudduth; niece, Amber Carrigan and; aunt, Dorothy Brennan.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Tracy.
