Not sure what to say?

I am not sure if anyone will read this, but I knew Tom when he was at McGill University in Montreal. We played intramural football together and we became friends in our last semester there. He was a helluva athlete. I stayed at McGill to do graduate studies and Tom went back to the U.S., and we unfortunately didn't keep in touch after McGill.

I was just looking at our McGill graduation year book with my wife (we met at McGill and she also knew Tom), and we came across his picture...

LaMese and family,

When I learned of your loss, my heart was heavy with sadness. This is difficult, but know that you have an angel watching over you. His spirit lives on. It is obvious how many lives he touched. I will add my voice to the millions of prayers going out for you and your family.

Dear Hurell Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you. Tom was a high school classmate of mine and as others before me have expressed, Tom had an irrepressible presonality and memorable smile. He was a good friend and I am sad we lost touch over the years.

To the greater Hurrell family, particularly Al and LaMese

While I don't recall ever meeting Tom, as a WNHS classmate of Al and LaMese, I certainly know of the fabric of which he came and the comments from those who have shared sentiments here indicate it is my loss to have not met him.

My thoughts and wishes primarily are with his wife and children--it is not fair to have to go on without him.

May every day be easier than yesterday.

With thoughs of support as always to the whole family.

LaMese,
My condolences to you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Although not having met your beloved Tom personally, we have indeed witnessed the effects of his uplifting and loving countenance through the dedication and selfless acts of kindness and encouragement illustrated through his dear sister, LaMese. Our love and prayers will continue to be with you all.

Lamese & the entire Hurrell Family,

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you at your time of grief. God Bless.

Our prayers are with you daily. Keep Jesus close and may you feel His presence.
