Dear Jo ~ I know we don't communicate anymore. I was shocked to read of Tom's death. Too young to die.... Laurie

He was my sixth grade teacher at second ave. I remember he would always take us out to play softball. I also remember when we made a santa wind chime, it took a lot of time and he was so patient. I think that was the same year he broke his leg. I will always remember him. rip

He was a great teacher. I had Mr. Hyden in 6th grade, 1974. He made me feel valued and recognized how hard I worked to be a good student and how hard I practiced to be come a decent softball player. May he rest in peace and may his family find peace in the midst of their sadness.
