Thomas H. Kapsalis

I did not know Tom died. Much love to his family. He was such a formative presence for me at SAIC. I still remember the day in class when he rummaged through my portfolio to find a drawing that literally excited him. He taught me to respect my own marks. My deepest sympathies to you and your family. Tom was one of the best people I had the privilege of knowing. My wife an I will miss him. We always looked forward to receiving his beautiful Christmas cards.

Professor Kapsalis was a kind and nurturing instructor who offered excellent guidance to me in my early days at SAIC. I still think of him today.
