Not sure what to say?

Tommy was one of my oldest friends. I think we were friends all but the first two or three or for years of our lives and probably even then -- I can't remember. Shirley, I send my love. Vic Ferrall.

Dear Shirley and family, My apologies for sending my condolences so late, but I am just now finding out about Prof. Kauper. I want you to know that I have fond memories of working for Prof. Kauper as his faculty support at the Law School between 2002-04. He was such a kind man, and appreciated my help whenever asked. I often thought of him over the years and had hoped he was enjoying retirement as he deserved. I am thankful to read he indeed was enjoying his retirement in the south...

Shirley and Family, Terry and I were saddened to hear of Tom´s recent passing. Having enjoyed many stimulating conversations with you both over dinner at Bonita Bay throughout the years, we were aware that he was an exceptional individual, but his obituary speaks of the breadth and depth of his life, which was truly amazing; filled with challenging intellectual pursuits, a myriad of jobs, awards, and exciting travel. Yet, His precious time with his beloved family,of whom he was so...

Dear Shirley and family, I´m very sorry for your loss. I remember Tom in his younger years at Zion. He always had an interesting comment or insight. Tom has been in our prayers regularly. He has entered the Church Triumphant but will certainly be missed.

Shirley, Jane and I have many fond memories of our friendship and shared activities while living in Bonita Bay-we hope that you are comforted by the memories of a wonderful life that you and Tom enjoyed. Gene and Jane Johnson

Tom was a very close friend of my parents, Dave and Helen Rae Bracklein. He was an influential person at Zion and will be missed. I wish peace for his family.

My condolences go out to Professor Kauper's family and loved ones. I was fortunate to be in three of his law school classes. He was an excellent teacher.

Shirley, I am so sorry to learn of the passing of your dear husband Tom. I have known both of you for many many years and you had a wonderful marriage. I am now out of the country and when I return, I look forward to seeing you and giving you a gentle hug. Memories are wonderful and know you have many which will help in the difficult days ahead. Our prayers and blessings are with you and your family. xxxxxxx Charlotte Portz

Beautiful obituary which those of us who knew Tom well for many many years, could appreciate. Clearly and easily one of the smartest men we ever knew.
