The first time I met Mr. Kearney and Mr. Burns, I was in the unemployment office with two older men when the clerk asked where I worked. I responded to the Laborers Union. They introduced themselves and wished me luck. One said we will probably hire you at some time. Unknown to me at the time, I would meet and marry Nancy a few years later.
