Joan and the Kennedy family,

I am so sorry to hear about Tom. We worked together at MTA for a long time, although in different offices. The Field Staff had a unique bond with each other because we all were passionate about Union principles and worked hard to maintain them when public employees were not supposed to stand up for themselves. People like Tom proved that concept wrong. It was great to see him not too long ago at a retiree lunch.

I worked with Tom for many years at the MTA. He was a lovely gentleman who occasionally complained about driving east into the sun to attend Monday morning
management meetings and west into the sun when going home. I'm sure he will be deeply missed by family and friends. He was a
first-rate colleague.
