Not sure what to say?

Vinny and I just learned of Dody's passing and want to express our deepest sympathies to Karen and their children. Dody lived a life of purpose, sacrificing much for his country, his family, and those in need. May his memory be a lesson of a life well-lived and a blessing to all who knew and loved him.

What a tragic loss for not only the Koontz family but also for the community. Dody was a devoted family man and was selfless in giving to his community. Such sad news to learn of his passing. Comfort and love to Karen, Sage, Ehren and Ryan.

Dearest Karen, Sage, Ryan and Ehren, I am so sorry to hear of your beloved husband and Father´s passing. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers at this time. Sending hugs, love and my deepest condolences. Patsy Walker

Dody and I were in AWS together as students and Company Commanders together in 1st Bn 2d Marines. I only remember great things about him and as I read about his life post mid-1980s it is clear he was a Superman with his priorities in exactly the right place. I pray for his family for comfort and peace in the weeks, months, and years ahead. May his life and all he did for people be a legacy that all who knew him will remember forever! Semper Fidelis Marine.
