Not sure what to say?

Tom, so sorry to hear about the passing of your father. He must have been a neat guy. I would have loved to go hunting with him just to hear his stories. Take care my friend. Dennis Hole

Tom was a warm, sensitive, and wonderful man. He had a fantastic impish quality (that smile!) that seemed to blossom as he grew older. I feel fortunate to have known him and to have spent time in his beloved northern Michigan and Priest Lake with him and his family. These are times that have become a part of who I am as a person - and I know that I am a better person for having known Tom. My love and blessings go out to all of the family.

The Ladies and Gentlemen of the Washington State Veterans Cemetery extend our deepest sympathies to the family of Thomas F. Lacy for your loss, to honor his service to our country and our patriotic hero.

"Big Tom" was a man devoted to his wife, his dogs and nature. He was gentle, kind and a wonderful story teller - especially about his forest service days. Once he became a grandfather he became known in the family as "Papa" - we are fortunate to have shared many wonderful times with him in Priest Lake, Harbor Springs and Ann Arbor...and those memories will last forever.

Tom: I'm thinking of you and your family, and sending my love. Your many fond memories of his days and his pleasant ways will be a comfort. I'll never forget when he was Best Man and I was Matron of Honor when you and Marilyn were married. Alene Blomquist

I have fond memories of Tom Lacy. He was an interesting guy. He wrote little essays in the Washtenaw Historical Society's newsletters, during several years while he served as president of that org. In one that I recall, Tom offered an appreciation of cupolas on 19th-century barns, and confessed himself to be a cupola maven (an interest which I shared). I'm glad he lived long, and had time to focus his connoisseurship on numerous quirky old buildings and historical scenes.

Tom: we were so sorry to find out that your Dad has passed away. I remember working with him while I worked at AAFS & GLFS in the Advertising Dept. He was so very creative & had such a gentle demeanor. What a kind & wonderful gentleman who will be greatly missed. Our thoughts & prayers are with you & your family. He had the greatest smile!

It was so heart warming to hear the adventures of Mr. Lacey , He truly enjoyed the beautiful things of creation this earth has to offer. We look forward to the time as Isaiah 33 :24 states " no resident will say: 'I am sick.' "
