My sincere condolences to the Landis family.
My father, the late Jim Stock ,with whom Tom worked in the YFD , and I always had the utmost respect for Mr. Landis. He was a true gentleman in every sense of the word; I always admired his cool,
calm and pleasant demeanor.
And although our paths have not crossed recently, I will miss knowing that I will no longer be able to reminisce with him about the glory days of York softball and the York fire department personnel.
Please know that I would have been honored to have paid my respects in person however, I'm currently in Florida and just discovered that Tom had passed.
I will never forget him!

I want to say Mr. Landis will be greatly missed. He spent his life, risking his for the residents of York, Pa. He gave of himself so unselfishly. He donated his time and energy coaching sports teams, as well.
To the most, he gave to his family.

Mom told me she babysat Tom when he was a youngster. As a youth, I remember visiting the Landis's and thier visiting us (the King's) in West York. Gentle and funny is what I remember about Tom Jr. Mom said he came to visit her some time before her passing in 2014. She had a special fondness for Tom Jr. I'd like to think they are smiling once again.

Dear Family:

I never stopped thinking of Tom as family. He will be missed. I'm so glad that I had the opportunity to say goodbye. Even on that day, when he laying there so ill, he was thinking of others. He apologized for not making it to my Father's funeral, and offered his condolences.

Tom was a selfless, loving person. He touched many lives along life's path.

Never forget the memories, and I pray that you will find comfort and strength in the days to come with the knowledge that he is now sitting at the feet of Jesus. He's well again and smiling that warm smile.

My Deepest Sympathies,
Peggy Ann Roche

Many words, memories and thoughts come to mind when i think of Tom. Growing up I remember Toms smile the most, I never seen him mad or ungrateful for anything. He loved his family and it showed. This is such a great loss to so many and he will be truly missed. I am proud to have Known Tom. Prayers to all the Landis Family.
