I am so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. As we all know, Tom had a brilliant mechanical mind and as a building manager, I learned alot from him. We worked together at 199 E. LSD for many years and on various large mechanical projects to do with a high rise historical building. I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Tom. I had the pleasure of working alongside Tom a few years ago, when he served as the mechanical engineer for a major rehabilitation project at Mayslake Peabody Estate. This was a particularly challenging project but, in spite of this, Tom brought a consistently gentle willingness to find solutions to many a construction meeting. I had the great pleasure to work with Tom for almost a couple of full years on a major project involving the interior rehabilitation of the historic Peabody Mansion, in Oak Brook. It was a very difficult project to say the least -- trying to install modern electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems in a building constructed out of reinforced concrete over 70 years ago.
