Not sure what to say?

Thomas was such a selfless man. He cared for the disadvantaged HIV positive people of Kasese like his own. His passion for seeing people happy and hopeful was unmatched. He ensured they got prayer partners from the US to pray with them and economically support them. This drastically lowered death rates among the sick. He personally inspired me to work with these very people. I imagined Thomas Leaman who so lovingly supported the people of Kasese he only met for moments and me - Ann who grew...

Dear Rebecca & Family;
On behalf of the Reunion Committee and Classmates of Hershey High Class of 1964, our deepest sympathy, thoughts, and prayers to you and your family at this sad time. Dr. Leaman was well-known and respected in the Hershey community for many years. May he rest in peace.

Some of my earliest memories were in our childhood homes on Elm Ave. Both of your parents were always so kind to me, treating me as one of the family. I remember your father patiently listening to my dream of becoming a psychiatrist and enthusiastically lending me one of his text books.

To me he was a good, kind and gentle man.

I am truly sorry for your loss.

Meg

Tom was a great leader. We will all miss him. He contributed to Family Medicine being where it is now. May he rest in peace.

I was so saddened to hear of the death of Dr. Tom Leaman. I can truly say that this extraordinary man was one of the most important influences in my life. He cared for me and my family as our family physician. His care and kindness as our family doctor inspired me to embrace that same path and I was later fortunate enough to be accepted in to Penn State HMC's Family Practice residency and then invited to join his staff.He enriched my life in so many ways through his mentoring, direction,...

My condolences also to the family. Our families always had close association, particularly through the medical center. I also have happy memories of Linda introducing me to my new classmates of Hershey HS class of 1967 when I had moved there only in the fall of 1966. We strolled down Elm Avenue together to go to school. Now both the Leaman and Wiest residences have new families living in them. Life goes on but our happy memories of Hershey will live on.

Dr Leaman and Jeanne first came to Kasese in August 2002 to visit me and my wife Mama Stella, and to work with us on issues related to Health and HIV.It is at that time together we set up a program for increased assistance for orphaned children, and the Prayer Partnerships.Many people in Kasese know Tom, and his late wife Jeanne.Tom did a lot of work in mobilizing resources for BMCF work in Uganda. He will be remembered by his many friends in Uganda.Mama Stella and I will miss him very...

I met Thomas Leaman in 2002 as a Director at Bishop Masereka Christian Foundation US. He has been the epitome of love and kindness. He always had something good to say about people and yes his wife Jeane and family.
At BMCF, he made me love my work though it seemed so difficult at the beginning. He was always there encouraging me and ensuring that i see the best of the other side of the coin. He loved Jesus and i felt that Thomas' Jesus might be different from the one i knew and i always...

Martha and families, we are so sad to hear of the passing of your dad. What a wonderful, fantastic man he was! He was always so attentive, thoughtful and had a great smile!
