Not sure what to say?

I played lax with Tom at Hofstra. He was always upbeat and positive; fun to be around. When anyone would comment on his small stature he would reply,"it ain´t the size of the man in the fight; it is the size of the fight in the man. May God bless the soul of Tommy Leanos. He was a very fine gentleman. My condolences to his family.

I remember Tom from growing up in Baltimore. Back then, if we grew up in different neighborhoods, we were close enough to travel back and forth and know alot of the same people. It was a fun time then.He went to City College High School and I went to Poly (Baltimore Polytechnic Institute). We were rivals. I played lacrosse too in high school but Tom was at a different level. He was a great guy! My sincere condolences to family. It's a small world because I see that one of Tom's sons lives in...

I was fortunate to be a teammate of Tom at Hofstra. We also both played in the 1970 North South game. Tom was always a stand up guy with an engaging and fun disposition. He was a very fine lacrosse player despite his small size. He played well against everyone he played. When kidded about his size he would say, "Remember it´s not the size of the man in the fight, it´s the size of the fight in the man. My condolences to Tom´s family and his Drew lacrosse family. His memory will be treasured...

I am very saddened to learn of Tom's passing. He was a great friend, mentor and coach among many other things. He will certainly missed by those of us who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with "Leon". Skeet Chadwick

What a great man. I had the honor to coach youth lacrosse with Tom for a couple of years. I learned a ton about coaching from Tom but more importantly I developed a tremendous respect for the way he treated his players and how he made them feel important. Tom loved to win but he never put winning ahead of developing his players to be great men. First team all American coach, husband, dad, grandfather and friend to all he met. Andy O´keefe

Saddened to learn of Coach's passing. Before he became the head coach, he came to see me play in HS and it's what helped lead me to come to DREW. He was invited back to the house with Karen (they were not married at the time) for dinner but declined, likely busy with the duties of recruiting of my other class of 1988 teammates. College lacrosse has lost a passionate promoter and lover of the game. My heart and condolences go out to the Leonas family. God bless and rest in peace Coach.

I was saddened to learn of Coach T's passing. Godspeed. John Gillan, Drew U class of 1987
