Thomas W. Logue, age 73, of Johnsonburg, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at his residence, following a brief illness. Born on September 23, 1951, in Ridgway, Tom was the son of the late William K. and Rita M. (Thorwart) Logue.
Tom was a 1969 graduate of Johnsonburg Area High School. In 1971, he earned an Associate Degree in Drafting and Design Technology from Penn State (Dubois Campus) and an Associate Degree in Surveying Engineering Technology from Penn State (Mont Alto Campus) in 1975. Tom also earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in accounting in 1989 from Robert Morris University.
Most recently prior to his retirement, Tom was employed by Consol Energy Co. Previously, he had been employed at Dominion Resources Inc., Anchor Mining Co., and Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Co.
Tom was an avid Penn State fan and enjoyed hunting with his brother and nephews. He especially loved celebrating Christmas in Johnsonburg with his nieces and nephews and camping with family at the Glades Lodge. 'Uncle Tom' will fondly be remembered by everyone for making 'bear' food and always having a generous supply of peach gummies for these camping trips. Over the years, Tom developed a keen interest in World War I and World War II memorabilia.
Tom is survived by three siblings, Lawrence W. Logue (Cecelia) of Macon, Georgia, William N. Logue (Pamela) of Johnsonburg, and Laurie A. Wilcox (Douglas) of Cambridge Springs; nieces Dr. Alicia J. Logue, Julie Neville, Emily Deutsch, and Tessa Samick; nephews William G. Logue, Andrew Logue, Stephen Logue, and Daniel Logue; and several great nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial for Thomas W. Logue to be conducted at Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg on Saturday July 19, 2025, at 11 AM with Fr. David Wilson, Pastor as Celebrant. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
