Not sure what to say?

Mr Louis was my freshman year English teacher and again my senior year at Seton. He always made class fun and always had a story or two. One of my most favorite memories of him was the way he enjoyed teasing me and saying my name "Michele O'Dell" he would say "I love the way that rhymes and are you Irish"? I am sure I would hide my head then but now I am thankful to have known him. My sympathy to his family.
Michele O'Dell Quatman Seton Class of '84

I just learned of Tom's death and I'm sorry I missed seeing it in the Enquirer. He was such a cute kid in grade school and I suspect he was still as cute. I believe we met once, Ginger, at his mother's house when mom and I used to pick her up for church. My sincere sympathy to you and your family and especially to his brother, Brady, with whom I attended Pacelli.

Mr. Louis also taught at St, Cecilia where he was my 7th grade teacher. Goo man. Once was a part owner of Mt. Lookout Tavern and a proud XU grad.

My heartfelt thoughts go out to Mr. Louis' family. I can count him as one of the great minds able to connect with his students on an intellectually challenging level. He didn't just lecture. He got us involved and made us think. He helped the intended impact of a novel to be felt by the the reader. I'm glad to have had the opportunity to know him and to learn from him. Seton was fortunate to have him.

So sorry to hear about Mr. Louis' passing. I will always remember him from freshman English class and teasing me about giving my quizzes to me in Spanish so that I might do better on them. I also remember his love for Jeopardy and his page-a-day calendar with Jeopardy questions every morning. My thoughts and prayers are with the Louis family during this difficult time. Class of '05.

Barb Bayer and Brian Louis, 1971

Who didn't love Mr. Louis?! He touched a lot of lives. He was a wonderful man who loved his students almost as much as he loved his family! I was fortunate enough to not only be a student but a friend who occasionally babysat Brian, his oldest son. I have very fond memories of Mr. Louis as a teacher and friend.

I loved Mr. Louis. What a wonderful teacher and human being he was. He will be sorely missed and never forgotten.

Tom Louis was a huge influence in my life. I have a great deal of respect for him and what he did not only for Seton High School Sports but for all the students as well. I am proud to share Buddy LaRosas Hall of Fame with him. My prayers go out to his family. Barbara Volker Young 1985
