In what seems like a repeat of two years ago, I will be in Cleveland and staying at the Airport Crowne from Thursday evening through Tuesday morning. Our West Tech `63 class is celebrating our 80th birthday on my actual birthday. I would love to hear from you.

An email reminded me that tomorrow will be the fourth anniversary of your father’s death. It is also my 78th birthday. Should any of you read this in the next few days, I want you to know that I will be visiting Cleveland for the 60-year reunion of West Tech Class of 1963 on 9/23. My wife and I will be staying at the Crowne near the airport. We will arrive late Thursday and depart Tuesday morning. If you would like to get in touch, please call the hotel and leave a message. Hello Family: As you can see above, my name is Ken Schafer. Like your father, I graduated from West Tech in 1963. I was on the cross country team with your father for a couple of years. During the summer of 1961 or 1962 (I forget which) we did quite a bit of running at Brookside Park. On occasion, we would run from my house (West 42nd and Lorain) the park, and then run some more.
