Thomas Lucker, 77 of St. Joseph passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday March 3 2002 at Lakeland Hospital ? St. Joseph
The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday March 5th from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. At Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph. Rev Jon Bendewald will lead funeral services at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday March 6th at Trinity Lutheran Church where he was a member. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Memorial may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or Lutheran Hour
Thomas was born on March 27, 1927 in Benton Harbor, MI to Leo and Grace (McCrone) Lucker. He Graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1942, proudly served the U.S. Army in the European and Pacific Theaters during WWII, Went on to build residential homes in St. Joseph, Benton Harbor Area, and later retired from advanced Products in 1972. He led a full and rich life and was fortunate to be able to spend a great deal of time with his family as a devoted Husband and father. He also enjoyed recreational aviation, adventurous travel, and good Friendship with the membership of the Deutsche Amerika National Kongress (DANK) of Benton Harbor of which he was a member for over 25 years.
Thomas was survived by Helene (Rapske) Lucker who was his wife for nearly forty years; daughter Monica Lucker of St. Joseph; son Daniel Lucker and daughter in-law Gina of Houston TX and two grandchildren Ryan and Cara. He was preceded in death by his parents Leo and Grace (McCrone) Lucker and his brother James Lucker
