Not sure what to say?

Tom Lyons was my coach and teacher at Mount Hermon, 1959-1961, and was an amazing man. At the time there were a significang number of older professors, who were very good, combined with a vanguard of young ones of which Tom was one. His enthusiasm for his profession and his concern for his students was an inspiration to all of us who knew him. He affected many lives in a profound way and those of us who were priviledged to know him and be taught by him thought of him frequently throughout...

Mr. Lyons was the quarterback for my father's football team at Reading High School...My father told me he was the only quarterback that you had to tell him the play just once...He truly enjoyed coaching him...I can remember my father speaking of him so highly...I am very sorry for your loss...Sheila Crowley

Tom Lyons was my teacher in 1974-75 at Andover and I never had a better one. His class on "The American Presidency" inspired me in my career in journalism and as a presidential historian. He was not only a terrific teacher but one of the finest, most thoughtful and gentle people I've ever known.

Tom, El and family were wonderful neighbors of ours at PA over 40 years ago...in our youth. We shared many good years together in that community with many fond memories. Our prayers of comfort, love and peace go with the entire family.

I wish I had the opportunity to get to know him. May all the good memories sustain you in the coming days. Love and prayers, Carolyn Stinger

Our deepest sympathies to Eleanor and her family. Tom was a wonderful person and an inspiration to all those who knew him. He will be greatly missed.
With love,
