Not sure what to say?

Mak was one of my closest friends in college but we had not seen or spoken much over the intervening years until recently. He, Foti, & Turner played at my wedding and I can still remember his twinkling eyes and groovy bari sax playing, then and forevermore.

I am very lucky to have had this underappreciated musical genius as my teacher in elementary and middle school. I was always in awe of his style of teaching and enjoyed his honesty with us. He really made us feel special and proud of our work. Even now, at 25, I feel I have so much left unsaid to him, but hope his message of helping others as well as his love of music continues to live on in others. I am sorry I could not attend the wake, but I will cherish his memory always.- Paulina L....

"A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove...but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child.-Forest E. Witcraft” Thanks Mr. Mack!

Thank you Tom. It has been an honor to count you as one of my friends. You have made a difference in my life and the lives of countless others. God bless you and your family.

Tom was an awesome human being and teacher who exuded passion and knowledge. I've missed working with him and the world will be a little less bright without his charismatic ways. It is a great thing to have known someone so enlightened and free. There's no question; all who knew him were the better for it. Thanks for being there, Tom.

CASHMERE absolutely loved Tom, respected his talents and adored his spirit. We will truly miss our saxophonist and friend. Our deepest sympathy is extended to Marcia, his family and loved ones.

Tom was a rare human being; a person with an exceptional gift and passion for teaching and coaching musicians of all ages and skill levels. There was always a positive attitude, a chuckle and a light, back-handed tap to your arm; talented, creative, a friend, a mentor, an inspiration. He understood, “It is not about the music” – It is about becoming a more complete person. Our hearts and prayers are with Tom’s family and friends for the sadness that comes when someone passes from earth to...
