THOMAS B. MALLETTE, JR., Captain, U. S. Air Force (Retired), died at home on May 28, 2016, at age 80, after a long battle with prostate cancer. Not sure what to say?

Our sympathies to you, Pat, and your
family! Bal and I remember Tom with fondness and respect. I'll remember him each time I look at the opal he cut for me. He was a great friend to everyone at Vandegriff's.

I am so sorry for your loss. I hope Jer. 29: 11, 12 brings you comfort during this difficult time.

Dearest Pat and family, Tom was a special and fun man. Through acts of kindness I will honor his life. You will remain in my thoughts.

Tom was loved by all of us at ECCC. His t-shirts and smile will be missed, but not forgotten.

Unfortunately I never met Tom except through my friendship with Pat and her postings on Facebook. Through those postings though, I came to know a very strong survivor and fighter. Rest in peace Tom and may God wrap his loving arms around Pat and the rest of family and give them peace in this time of loss.

I am sorry for your loss, my friend.
This is a fine tribute to a wonderful man.

There are people that are merely along for an easy ride on the surface of life, and then there are others, like Tom, who eagerly explore and consume every bit life has to offer - to the point that even in memory, they continue to exude life itself - forever impacting the hearts of those they have met. I am saddened that I was born and served too late to serve our Armed Forces alongside such a fine man; I am glad to have spent the all too brief times I had with him; and I am thrilled that...

We are heartbroken for you all. Continued prayers and extra hugs your way during your difficult loss.
